Need a good black PC case for £50-80

yey im a muppet :D
i went for a silverstone tj04 which is about the price of the lian li
though i may be upgrading it to a lian li a05

i unfortunately got a tsunami when i built my current rig and i gotta admit it was the worst purchase of my entire build. far to cramped, flimsy build quality and poor cooling. gonna get an akasa eclipse when i can afford it

I recently have had the same problem but in the end opted for the Antec Nine hundred looks very nice and shows the components off quite nice i thought. Was easy to build and make the cables relitivley tidy also :) The pics of the system below, and was a very good price from OCUK :)

Was very impressed with its cooling abilities after playing Stalker it stayed at the 29-30c mark :).

Meh, for that amount he could have got the Eclipse after all. I remember my girlfriend telling me that my last computer looked like a microwave (NZXT Lexa case). I have since realised that she was right, and now only build computers using sophisticated cases such as Lian-Li's. Function is much more important than form!

id love to dissaseble one of them and convert the window from it, and the front fan so it fitted my thermaltake armour. would be superiour cooling

heh. + i allready got a 25cm fan on my thermaltake armour side panel. would be mad!

but some how remove the "jet" styled side bits around the fan

hey guys, i need to buy a new PC case for around £50-80 and i was wondering whats the best black case out there around that price?
My antec sonata seems to really heating my components as they're deprived from cool air, or so it seems.

i need a case that is simple to install the components in and keeps them cool.

So whats the best selling black case atm?

gigabyte 3d aurora, if you don't mind a 'big' case. as far as i'm aware OcUK don't carry it, so you will need to look elsewhere
and just a quick pic:

No. It wouldn't. Don't you think if these were any good we'd be buying them? Except we're not buying them. So what does that tell you?

A bunch of big LED fans do not equal good cooling. They generally equal a complete blue glow from your room that makes it look like you're trying to get an all-over tan on the cheap, or you're looking to attract 12-year old boys into your room with a PC that looks like a big jet engine. You'll be thinking about buying a Honda Goldwing and getting one of those US motorcycle cop helmets next - you mark my words!

Neither sound attractive images to be building for yourself.

And you can forget trying to sleep with that lot on, if your PC is in the place where you sleep eg. you're a student.

There is no upside to those cases. Except they are generally shoddy and don't last long. :D

Surely form follows function, or Bauhaus means nothing? I think the V1000 is a true Bauhaus case. Certainly the Silverstone TJ-09 has to be close to Bauhaus.
