Need a good co-op RPG

What we're looking for is something with a leveling system, decent loot etc. Anything will do if it's cheap enough or free. Guy i'm playing with won't get into anything too old though so it cancels out the likes of BG2/D2/NWN/IWD.

Also, my preference is not an MMO as i want something we can finish and all MMOs i play are typically the same.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's not your typical RPG, and it gets a lot of negativity, but I really enjoyed Hunted: The Demon's Forge. A friend of mine convinced me to get it around the time it came out, and I was very skeptical about it because of what I had heard, but I'm so glad I bit the bullet and played it in co-op. It was all we played for several weekends

finished the game three times in a row.

If you're after 2-player co-op, check out Orcs Must Die 2

You do leve your char up and equip him with skills/traps etc, so it sort of fits your requirements... it's huge fun as a co-op game

Titan Quest. No competition.

Just make sure you install the 4x monster mod, as this makes it far more challenging & fun (and more loot, esp. from bosses

)
