Hi all.

I using at the moment the old ball type mouse and i notice in games like battlefield 2 when sniping the mouse movements not very smooth even with scroll settings on low (1.50) i think i got it.

So getting that head shot a little bit harder :(

So would getting a gamers mouse sort this movement problem out ?

Thinking of this one as it comes with mouse mat ( i never even bothered with a mouse mat before.

or this one without a mat.

Everyone has different opinions but I know loads of peeps with the MX518. It's a good mouse. Slim. I personally have the G5 as I have massive hands haha

I got till end of the to day to make my mind up but every one seems happy with the mx518 :D

I also get the Steelseries QcK Mini Gaming Mouse Pad (63005)

i had the mx510 and it was great, i never upgraded to the mx518 only because i didnt need the extra dpi.

i only upgraded to a g5 once i had totally wore out the mx510, for some reason i always preferred the mx510 which is very very similar to the mx518.

on the plus side you will get lots of extra buttons which you can assign to keyboard commands in games.

I used the MX518 since it's release, only just changed for the CM Sentinel which is is very good. Still, the MX will always be in the draw ready for action - possibly the best mouse I've ever owned, still un-decided about the Sentinel.

gothicghost, I'm pretty sure there is only one version at 1600dpi.

Well after much searching and thinking i not sure if spending 30 pounds on mouse and mouse mat be good thing at this time (baby due any day now)

So i bin looking for lower budget mouse and seen and few just over a tenner.

Gigabyte GM-M6880 Gaming Laser USB Mouse

Logitech OEM RX1000 Laser Mouse USB

Saitek GM1600 USB Gaming Mouse

Or any others that are around 10 pound range ?

Thanks.
