Hi guys,

Need a good portrait monitor, preferably in the 21-23" inch range, supporting 1920x1080 resolutions.

I'm doing a lot of word editing with my new job, so having a secondary monitor that I can place long word docs on would be ideal, as my current 24" 1920x1200 screen is getting a bit crowded.

I have a budget of around £100ish, although it can go up or down a bit, depending on recommendations. I've tried looking but can't see anything stating portrait support!

Cheers.

Your budget is rather tight, a rotate option is generally found on the more expensive screens. The screen mentioned above is 1680x1050.

Another problem is that for portrait mode to look good you usually want an IPS screen like the one mentioned above as the poor viewing angles of the cheaper TN-panels will be all the more obvious when used in portrait mode. The cheapest monitor with a pivot option I could find is the LG IPS231P-BN but with the UK prices still far outside your budget.
OCUK barely sells any monitors at a sub-£100 pricepoint so just getting a monitor and adding an after-market desk clamp for portrait mode doesn't seem like an option either. You need to increase your budget or you're out of luck.

The Dell u2312hm is the closest to meeting your demands from OCUKs offerings afaik.
