Thermalright TRUE Black 120 CPU Cooler with 2 120mm fans
Asus Maximus II Formula P45
Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 2048MB
Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB Hard Drive or WD caviar Black 1TB
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x2GB)
Antec 1200 Twelve Hundred Full Tower Case

I also want to add a second 4870 x2, another 4 gig of ram
second hard drive, next year.

I need enough power to overclock the cpu and gpu's

I put this spec with upgrades into a psu calculator and went a bit overkill and it recommended 886 watts.

So what I need is advice on a suitable psu, I dont mind paying a premium for something really stable and quiet,

Any recommendations.

Enermax Modu+ 625W (modular)

Corsair TX 650W (non-modular)

Corsair TX 750W (non-modular)

PC Power & Cooling 750W (non-modular)

Unless you add a second 4870X2, a 600W+ unit should be fine.

Personally, I recommend the PC Power & Cooling unit.

Edit: yeah, missed that, if you're planning on two 4870X2's, then def go for the 750W minimum.

I am seriously tempted to go for the Antec Signature Premium 850W PSU

review after review say its the best psu they have ever tested, wow.

Made by Seasonic as Antec never have made a PSU. ;)

Whoever makes them has done a bloody good job as far as i can see.:D
I'm going to get this, outstanding stability and efficiency,

Edit: Very quiet for an 80mm fan psu also, competes with 1200mm fan units,

Well worth the extra cash imo.

I just wish my bank would send me my new card so I can order, xmas post bah humbug :)
