Need a good Wireless USB Adapter for windows 10

As title suggests i need a good Wireless USB Adapter for windows 10. It needs to have really good range and needs to work on windows 10.

Any suggestions?

I'd recommend a PCI-E 1x card over anything USB.

Someone will be a long momentarily to recommend running a cable, even if it's 50ft long and involves drilling through 20 walls. Is power line not an option?

Unfortunately its for a laptop so won't be able to use a PCI-E, the wireless adapter in the laptop sucks for anything 1 wall away.

The powerline looks interesting but i will be taking the laptop around with me a lot hence it would be easier with a usb adapter

the powerlines would help with other devices in the house.

is the laptop bad just at yours or everywhere.

you could fit a better quality wifi card in it.

Its bad everywhere, the msi laptop i had previous to this had really awesome wifi but this one performs ****. Its a intel dual band wireless AC 8260.

I did borrow an AC68 Dual Band AC1900 USB 3 WIFI adapter of someone which was working really well but since i reformatted with the creator update its only giving me 3mbps and i don't know why

Is it not possible to change the adapter inside the laptop itself?
