need a graphics card, help

hi all,

my graphics card has died so i need a new one.

its an oldish system athlon 64 3200 on a 754 socket
1gb ram
the old graphics cards was a nvidia 6800 gt.

ive been out of the pc loop for a while now so i dont know what card to get.
want one thats cheap but with equal or better proformance than the 6800gt.
its an agp? slot
