Sorry for posting this but think I need to.

Got home from work yesterday dinner to find my dog laid under his chair, when I moved the chair he didnt attempt to get up or move. I made him as comfortable as I could while my wife got home from work. We got the vet out and had to have him pet to sleep.
i dont really know what to do now he was my best mate for the past 10 years, he was there for me when my dad died and when my grandad died. He never judges me or anything just love. He was the one that picked us when we were at the re homing shelter. I have another dog that is very subdued at the moment i think she is trying to take it all in.
I dunno what to do just feel very numb and empty.

Sorry

Cheers fokes, there really was no decision to be made it was the only thing to do. Not that it was any easier. Just glad I was there stroking him at the end. I think he knew.

Set up a crude laptop with webcam pointing into the dogs room today while I'm at work. Auntie will be round at dinner to let her out and then baby sit all afternoon. Dunno if its helping me or not but she seams to be not as settled as I imagine she normally is. Keeps looking at the door, laying on the chair then laying on floor. She has tomorrow then im at home with her for the rest of the week

For the people that donated thank you. I more then met my donation target and have still got money coming in.
What a tough day had a cold (possibly chest infection) for the weeks leading up to it which hampered my training. It stopped me running for 3 weeks. Woke up on Sunday feeling less snotty and quite fresh.
What an amazing atmosphere, the people of the north east are the best just shouting your name and handing out jelly babies , ice pops, oranges, water , beer :) and to see the red arrows fly over just after Id come out of a under pass was awesome.
I felt of up until mile 6 then I could feel the energy going but kept running until mile 11 when the cramp kicked in - a few pats on the pack from fellow runners got me to the coast road, again where the support was like nothing I'd ever seen. It was there where both legs cramped and my foot so the last 800m looked like a sketch from Monty python.
I did it in 2:40 was hoping for 2:30 on the day with the lack of prep but the cramp took care of that.
