need a laptop 300 quid max

trying to find a lappy for my sis ... for .. need it as a xmas prezzy for daughter...

budget is 300 quid max ... has to be a good build ... no cheap plastic tat ...

will be used for homework ... surfing etc.. preferably with a dvd player..

can anyone recommend one ?

hmm... doesnt have a cd / dvd drive

i suppose its easy enough to get music on the hd without cd anyway .. can always get external if needed ....
