Hi there,

Looking for a laptop for £300, screen size around 13"? I dont mind bigger or smaller but as long as its a good deal.

Will be used for-

Internet
MS Word
Maybe Football Manager

I was looking at the Packard Bell Easynote U300

I'm going to have to take it to and from Uni.

Thanks a lot!

I showed my Dad that, as I was set on it.

However he finds the screen too small, and for £20 more he's telling me to just get a normal size laptop.

Its a good idea, however I'm looking for something smaller and easier to carry, and since its his money, I want to meet in the middle :), hence why I thought the Packard was a good choice!

well with the 13" screen its going to be a bit clunky and quite poor quality and will most likeley come with Vista as standard (super slow).

Netbooks are the way forward. I have poor eyesight (dont really, but im a good sales man) and my NC10 is ace. Im used to my 24" monitor on my gaming rig yet feel my NC10 is more than adequite as i can browse, list eBay things, watch movies and hold it with my little finger.

If you only want it for Word & the net... why do you need 13"?

Plus football manager will run fine as GTA 3, Vice City & San Andreas all run great on mine. The beauty is it lasts for 6 hours just browsing.

The screen looked very impressive in person, and in many reviews the 12" has been praised.

The build quality on the laptop looks excellent, glossy screen, brushed aluminium!

Vista is as standard, but it does actually have a Dual Core CPU, and I read on a forum with all the unessercary programs removed/stopped the laptop flies!

Get it then if your set on that

could you use a nc10 to do a little coding on ? I am interested in sql and c# and will be needing to work on my projects away from home?
