Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a laptop, I'd really like a Macbook Pro but want to research what I can get for similar price. I really like the design of the Macbook Pro and the long battery life, so i want something similar in design. Would really like the trackpad to have the scrolling function and multi-touch trickery of the Macbook.

So what do you guys reccommend?

Is there any other reason why you want the Macbook apart from aesthetics? What will you be using the machine for and what's your rough budget?

Budget similar as the macbook pro 13" £1k. Mainly browsing, music, movies (HD) output to my HD TV. Photo/Movie editing.

Many new notebooks have very similar features anyway.
What OS are you specifically going to run ?
 
for the laptop it'll be Windows 7

sorry guys should be more clearer, im looking at what I can get for similar price with Windows laptops. The more sensible side of me is taking over, i'm loathed to get ripped off just because its Apple.

Well check out Dell XPS series, they do 13" and 16" versions. They have the snazzy screens that display all those fancy colours for photography and video work.
