new to this and first post, thanx in advance:)

It'll make very little difference mate; Quad-SLi scaling with the 9800GX2s was very poor, not to mention you'd need to be running a 30'' screen for it to be worthwhile, even if the drivers were any good.

FYI, you could use any brand of 9800GX2, it doesn't have to be a Leadtek.

EDIT: Most GPUs you can run in SLi is four...you want to run more than that?

Do you mean 2 seperate cards? You can only SLI with 2 cards when using dual GPU cards. I'm hoping you meant you've already got 2 GPU's or something :)

sorry should av bin more clear, yes already got 2 9800 gx2 in sli, did'nt know you could'nt run three duel gpu cards in sli,wot bout phisx?got a copy of 3dmrk 06 with mobo, when installin graph cards it sez to use 1st and 3rd pci-e for sli but was'nt a lot of room,so put 2nd card in 2nd slot went into nvida controll panel and set to enable sli and phisx, got over 20.000 for cpu test in this set up,is this coz it was registerin one card with 2 gpu as sli?and one for phisx?and if so could i use two for sli one for phisx, thanxs for posts new to this

Dont worry about a card for physx, not many games use it, and 4 GPU's would share the physx load no problem if you use onboard physx.

If you go to the nvidia control panel, you need to enable hardware physx - make sure you arent accidentally setting a 9800GX2 as a dedicated physx card (that would be hilarious though).

By the way, capitals, fullstops and a bit of spacing doesnt hurt, that was a killer to read :o

If youre using slot 1 and 2 then i dont think it will enable SLI for you? I thought it had to be slot 1 and 3 ( the blue slots )

At the moment it looks like youre using a single GX2 for GFX, and the other GX2 for physx

How come you cant get the 2nd card into the lower blue slot?

The SLI bridge would only work in one config unless its one of those bendy ones in which case it might reach both.

Have you even put the SLI bridge on? May have forgotten. Also as above, move them into the blue slots, blue for a reason :D

there was sum connets across the bottom of the mobo and with the cards being so hbig it was a tight fit

cards are massive and second blue pci-e is right on the bottom near sum other connections
