Need a little help choosing a new graphics card

Hi guys,

My old faithful GTS 8800 failed on me last week and I needed to get a new one. Unfortunately the replacement card I ordered, an XFX 5850, wouldn't work with my rather creaky old P5N-E SLI mainboard, a not uncommon problem judging from a quick google search, it looks like the nvidia chipset on it dislikes new ATI cards. OC were really great about it and I sent the card back this morning (with a bit of an "It's not you, it's me" feeling). However, this leaves me with a system with no graphics adaptor.

Id like to avoid changing motherboard if I can avoid it, and as I'm not that bothered in cutting edge graphics technology I'm hoping that wont be a problem. I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good mid range card to go in my existing motherboard, preferably something I can just drop in, load drivers onto and go. I kinda want this to work easily considering how much technology had failed on me over the last two weeks (seriously, ive had speakers, a freeview box, a microcontroller power supply, a remote and that graphics card fail on me).

My system specs for those interested

Processor: Intel Q6600
PSU: Thermaltake EVO BLUE 650W
Mobo: ASUS P5N-E SLI
Memory: 4 x 1GB DDR2 677MHz (no idea what brand, machine was built by MESH three years ago)
Sound card: Creative SB XFI xtremegamer PCI
OS: Windows 7 64 bit.

Cheers guys!
