Hey guys, I'm hoping someone can give me a few pointers on where to look to sort an issue I've been having recently.
My home network is as follows:

Gaming / primary PC - Ethernet
HTPC - Ethernet
NAS - Ethernet
iPad (girlfriends, not mine!) - Wifi

The network has more devices, like an android tablet and mobile phones byt the above are what the issue is with.
So as you guys can probably guess, media is kept on the NAS, then streamed where needed. The HTPC has Kodi, the main pc has two screens (gaming and watching stuff), the iPad has a tool used by the NAS manufacturer to play media from it.

The issue we have is, playing media on the iPad does have stuttering, but then the iPad has issues on youtube sometimes as well (ipad 3 mini) so I would just discount it as nothing, but the HTPC also has issues of stuttering.

The HTPC has issues to the extent that on some media the audio will cut out for a second or two then come back every 30 seconds or so, and in some extreme cases the screen will go blank for a few second sthen come back.

Streaming anything to the primary pc works fine and have never had an issue, even when deep in gaming at the same time.

I have done the usual on the HTPC and checked every connection without solution. I've checked if task manager is overburdened with anything, but it isnt. Its cabled in the same as the primary pc so bandwidth shouldnt be an issue. The NAS works fine streaming to the main pc, so the NAS shouldnt be a bottleneck. The only possible thing I could think of is it has a fanless graphics card, could overheating cause audio issues as well as the video? I wouldnt say audio would be the first thing to go with a graphics card overheat.

Any advice is welcome, really want to get to the bottom of this as it makes watching things a pain!
