at home, you?
ok, just picked up my i5 2500k today, but didnt have the money to buy the motherboard i wanted, so ended up with a gigabyte h61m-s2-b3, now, iv not done much overclocking so bare with me, currently i have been into the bios and set the turbo core to full giving me 3.6ghz, now, my questions are
A. can i go further on this motherboard/stock cooler?
B. can anyone advise me on how to do this if possible?

now iv been told the h61 boards arent good clockers, is this right? am i going to be better ripping it back out and trying to throw more money at it to get another board?

The motherboard you picked up is not designed for overclocking. If you wanted to overclock then you should have gone for either the P67 or Z68 motherboard.

you will have to get one of the above motherboards, i suggest you go for the Asus P8Z68-V motherboard maybe even go for GEN3 version as it will have the newer PCI 3.0 and will be ready for ivybridge when it comes onto the market
