Hi guys, wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on how I should go about increasing the performance of my aging PC - looking to play more graphic intensive games at higher quality.

Current specs:

Intel i5 2500K overclocked to 4.0Ghz
8GB DDR3 RAM
GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB
Samsung 850 Pro 128GB SSD (OS install)
1TB HDD
Asus p8Z68-V LE Motherboard

I'm guessing the answer is going to be a new graphics card; would you be able to suggest a good one? I've been looking at the Asus Geforce GTX 970 Strix?

Looking to spend approx £300. How can I get my best "Bang for buck"?

Thanks in advance!

thanks guys, I have a 500watt Xigmatek PSU - Do you think this will be able to cope?

For future...once the GPU has been upgraded - CPU or RAM upgrade next?

Thanks again

Thanks so much everyone - I've just "accidentally" ordered the MSI 970.

Will look into improving the PSU and RAM next; I had a feeling the PSU was a bit weak.

And yes, the move to SSD was such a big increase in speed for me. Highly recommended.

Thanks again
