Need a little help with water cooling stuff.

I got the stuff a little over 2 months ago, but after leak testing with a kink, and then moving the tubes around i managed to get a little leak right at the barb where the tube was kinking, like in the pic below.

So a couple of days ago i removed the rubber grommets over the holes in my case and managed to get both tubes through 1 hole at the bottom without any kink. it's a bit of a squeeze but only just, would it work fine this way?

i don't know if i screwed up the barbs by using pliers on them instead of a spanner to tighten them because they were a bit sharp afterward, and i cut my thumb a bit on one of them. would this be any reason i got the leak before? or was it the kink and the fact i moved the tubing?, because where the tubing has been over the barbs you can see it's got a circular cut in them.

also i don't like the plastic clamps that came with the stuff, should i buy worm drive clamps (jubilee clips) and just carry on with putting the tubing through just the 1 hole in the case?.

I think it was probably due to the having the kink right at the barb, so I would recommend using a jubilee clip on it to be safe.

Is that a wooden case?

it's the back of my antec 1200 must be my bad photo taking skills, i will order some jubilee clips now, i take it everything else i mentioned is fine?

strange why the tubing kinks when i put them through both premade holes in this case but i can just get away with squeezing the 2 through one hole and no kinks.. oh well

The kink itself wouldn't have cause a leak if the tubing was fastened to the barb correctly, however the pressure from the kink would have stretched the opposite side of the tubing, raising it enough off the barb to cause a leak if it wasn't connected correctly if that makes any sense.

Like Jokester says, best to get some jubilee clips ordered and fasten it with a tie-wrap for the time being.
