Need a media player to do this

Hi there,

I need a media player that will do the following:

When I open it it will play on the secondary display (and turn the first monitor off) and on a seperate sound card.

And then when it closes it reverts back to original windows settings?

EDIT: By default windows does not have the second monitor on.

Download a program called Ultramon and use it to setup a profile on something like media player classic or VLC, setting up this profile will activate the second monitor and disable the other one, it's easy to do, you just right click the shortcut to whatever media player you want to use and go to properties.

As for the soundcard I'm not to sure but I'm thinking there might be an option in the audio properties of whatever media player your using

Does anyone know a media application that will allow me to do what i want with regards to the audio part?

I'm fairly sure Media Player Classic lets you choose the Audio Output device.

You could try Zoom Player? I used to swear by it, but switched to MPC as I preferred it.

Is there anyway so that in media player classic, when I open a movie it automatically shows it in fullscreen mode?

Go to View>Options, first screen that comes up has a check box to launch files in full screen mode

Doesn't do what i want it to do though.

i do this with winamp + ultramon

i have winamp on the TV all tho i don't actually set ultramon to turn off my primary display
also with my nvidia graphics card any video played on winamp/powerdvd wmp goes full screen on the TV so works fine for me

and you can chose audio output

If you double click on a file to play it does but not if you open a file by going to file>open

I am opening the file via a little extention onto the exe shortcut (don't know what thats called)

If you've done what I said and clicked the launch file in full screen mode through view>options then it should launch in full screen when you double click the avi file

Yeah that woprks, but i need it to work from the way i am opening the file.

Ah I see, only thing I can think of to do is double click the window once its on the other monitor to make it go full screen
