anyone got a desktop mic they recommend?
Sorry to Hijack your original post Taz488 but can Anyone help please ....?
I've got a decent set of Sennheisers so purchaing a different headset with a built in mic is a no no. So I need a sensitive desk mic (or something similar).
Needed for Ventrilio, Skype and Teamspeak. I've been using a labtec mic at the moment which is very poor (Only a Tenner) and have had to clip it to my shirt just so that I can be heard i.e it's not sensitive enough, even when the MIC settings on my HDA Digital X-Mystique 7.1 Gold PCI Dolby Soundcard are MAXED out and the "Boost" properties have been turned off and on again after each reboot (because of the Windows bug).
People still say that I'm feint. tut.
Just out of interest Taz488 I think I'm going to go with one of these....

(Approx £20 after P&P) if nobody else comes back with any other suggestions.
The main reason I'm going for it because it is USB so it doesn't need to go into my soundcard (if this is the reason why I'm feint).
It's going to be a bit of a pain being right next to my keyboard whilst playing but I don't really have any other options.
Post here if you know of any other MICs worth considering.
Many Thanks
Cactus.
