Hi all. After a fair amount of research I have whittled the selection down to either the Dell U2415 or the Dell U2412M - needs to be a 16:10 screen.

Other than the price differences I'm struggling to see anything substantially different?

Looking to spend around £200

Thanks for that Minstadave, I hadn't considered / seen the U2515h, looks like a lovely screen and not a lot more money than the U2415! Will be used for LR & PS work.

I'm loving the idea of the U2515h, the more pixels the merrier! Is it a 16:9 or 16:10 ratio? Cheers

It's 16:9. Great price for 1440p goodness, pre-calibrated and mine doesn't have the slightest backlight bleed.

They also have a zero bright pixel warranty iirc.

1440p at 25" is really sharp too but useable without scaling.

thanks guys. I'm not sure on the 16:9 vs 16:10 really. I've currently got a 1920x 1200 screen and i do prefer the extra in the height but given the extra width on the 2500 odd pixel screens I think they would be more usable?

Just noticed the Dell U2515h only has DP and HDMI, do you think i would encounter any issues converting dvi to hdmi? It will run from on-board gfx to begin with

OK, done lots of reading and it looks like i will need to connect up hdmi>hdmi or dp>dp. I have got a budget gfx card lying about at home (cant remember the spec) its about 2 years old but has hdmi. what are my chances of running native with that?

cheers all

Edit: got home and found the gfx card. Its a Geforce 210. says on the website max res is 2560x1600 http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-210/specifications Guess that should be ok over HDMI? Just ordered a 1.4 cable incase
