Only 2 things left to upgrade to my system one being the monitor. I only really play games/watch movies on it. Budget is about £200

What kind of games do you play? How important are the following to you?

- Energy efficiency
- Colour accuracy
- Vividness of colours and contrast
- Monitor responsiveness
- Viewing angles

This may help me make some recommendations for you.

Well i would definatly say Colour accuracy but would ideally like a combination of
- Colour accuracy
- Vividness of colours and contrast
- Monitor responsiveness

My immediate recommendation, based on this, would be the BenQ V2400 ECO or G2420HDBL (if you're looking for a 24" screen). As with all TN panels, the colours aren't as accurate as they could be - but you will find the image pleasing, vibrant and more than accurate enough for gaming and movies. There are lots of happy users of this monitor on the forums, it seems. I haven't tried it myself so I can't wholeheartedly recommend it, but have a read and see what you think.

And incase you're wondering - the V2400 ECO is essentially the same panel, with HDMI connectivity and a slightly different look.

I honestly don't know much about it and can't dig up much (it's a fairly old panel). Personally I'd stay away from it for gaming/movies due to the very odd resolution. Aside from the resolution being odd, it is higher (a double edged sword) than is usual for a 23 inch TN panel these days. In other areas I can't see this monitor being any better than the BenQ and probably weaker. I have used plenty of recent Samsung monitors and they have been on the whole impressive - but this isn't really one I've considered.
