Hey guys,
I think its about time for a new camcorder. NOt really sure where to start.
Ive been using a JVC which uses dv tapes, which wasn't great, was ok though.
Ive been looking at mini dvd and HD ones (i'm assuming these produce better quality videos than DV tapes)?
The problem with mini dvd is I see that they can only store 30mins of video. Can you buy higher capacity DVDs?
How much video can you store on say a 20gb HD camera? This seems like a good idea but the thing I don't like is possibly be having a full HD and not being able to record anything else with out deleting old stuff.
The other things it needs to do...
It needs to be able to record very loud sounds without any distortion (I record quite a lot of live gigs). This was actually the best thing about my JVC camera.
It needs to be able to handle dark rooms with lots of flashing lights. (When using my old camera everything turned out looking very very red (if you could even see anything).
So, any ideas?
