Need a new card!?

if i knew you wanted to go over 300£ budget i would have suggested Fury Nano for 350£ , way better deal than 390X but 50£ over your budget
mobo i would just wait a bit then upgrade to skylake or Zen with DDR4 mobo, and SSD no need to get 1T, start with 250 or 500Go, install your OS on it, and few games you play most (online games mostly for me) and if you need extra space add anoher SSD

Great advice!

Never heard of the nano before, does it outperform the 390? I managed to find a 390 for £265

the Nano outperforms 390X and 980 by a fair margin especialy when resolution gets higher, usualy it sits between 980 and 980Ti performance wise.

I don't think you'll see enough of a boost at your resolution to make it really worthwhile. I'd get the 390 + SSD (I've received one of those drives today. :))

here is a link for PCper bench of the New tomb raider here all high ends tested
but since you game at 1080p the 390 is plenty enough for you.

Yeah, gonna stay with the 390.. Im planning on upgrading later this year to a high end card and 1440p monitor anyway, but need a place filler to replace my hd7850, as its starting to struggle with my games.

Out of interest... considering that the Nano has just the 1 fan, what is the OC like? Also... seems kinda perverse getting a mini card over a full size card lol.. I have a HUGE pc case!

yea would certainly look weird in your case :p, about the OC the Fury series is not for overclockers enthusiasts, Fiji doesnt seem to overclock well so far i saw between 50-150mhz boost, and even less for the Nano
here you can find an article from HARDOCP about the Nano Overclock Review

Thanks :) I love playing around with my GPU and I heard that the MSI 390 overclocks pretty well, so I will look forward to receiving it.
