Trying to decide on what case to get and its giving me a headache! I'm going to get a seperate psu so thats not really a problem. The Lian-Li V1000+ is gorgeous but I dont think I can justify spending that much money at the same time as a new build!

So what do I go for? Ideally I would like to have headphone sockets on the front as this will be mainly for playing games and my headset lead is very short! However this isnt a big problem if they are not. The Thermaltake in this weeks offers looks quite nice, but then agan its probably more flashy that practical!

The system in it will be an amd 64 (with a view to shortly looking at x2 processors) and possibly running sli, so temperatures and noise will become a factor I beleive
I am so confused...please help me! lol

The v1000+ is worth EVERY penny you spend on it.

But if you like the look of it, the PC7+ sub £100 cannot be beaten for build quality.

And cooling it only really gets beaten by the Akasa Eclipse.

The Eclipse is a very nice case you could take a look at, is a bargain really but it has the bad feature of a plastic front; and for that reason I would pick up a PC7 over it.

Think I'll be leaving the v1000+ for a few months at least :(

The eclipse is a nice case...but I'll probably go for the pc7. Its a bit cheaper which will make it easier to get rid of ;) Although the extra slots on the eclpise are still tempting me!

The PC7 holds its value better than the Eclipse if you are selling it on soon.

Just worth noting that.

The Antec P180 is a superb at its price point..

Plus points
- Reasonable price
- Laminated case sides, plastic sandwiched with aluminium cuts noise out
- Seperate PSU/HDD chamber to keep these away from the main heat sources
- plenty of 120mm Fan mountings for quite and cool..
- very very clean look
- good reviews..
- comes with 3 case fans that are speed switchable..
- Top 120mm exhaust is great for a cool CPU, or perfect for mounting a coolermaster Aquagate R120 CPU Cooler radiator..

I've built an X2 4400 and 7800 GT's SLI'd, and with a fancontroller on the 7800 Fans + Case fans, and its very quiet, and even overclocked holds good temps with fans on low speed/quiet..

Reviews mean little, real user experience counts for a lot more.

You hear to many horror stories about it falling apart for my liking.

The PC7 and Eclipse sell more cases, yet there are a lot less problems reported with them.

Just think the p180 can be a bit of a gamble, get a good one and its a great case, but if you get the 1% which are bad, they really really really are bad.
