Yea I know my system is super old now, but im looking for a new cooler. Google searches recommended the H412r, However the brackets are to small and dont have enough reach on them to screw in to the board. The back mounting plate is also too small and doesn't reach the holes. Any advice on something that will fit this board?

Cheers

That's because the 412R isn't compatible with Socket 2011-3

Something like the below which is compatible would be a starting point, but without knowing your exact CPU, budget and even your case (which can affect which coolers can fit), a full recommendation would be difficult.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £32.99 (includes delivery: £0.00)

I had one of those and can firmly recommend them too. They are crazy cheap and extremely good.

thank you will be going with that. I dont use the pc for anything other then watching youtube so should be more then enough to keep it cool. I have a full tower case and it was previously water cooled. I've gotton fed up of having to change fluid etc and as i dont game on it, its one less hassle to deal with. The pump/raditor combo decided to die on me and id rather spend £30 on a fan cooler then £150 to replace the pump/radi
