Need a new cpu what do you recommend?

Hi guys well I ve just sold my E6600 with my old computer and need a new CPU for my new build.


My mate recommends staying on duo core and not going to quad however i want it for multi tasking such as web developing and a bit of gaming on spore, css e.t.c

I also need a new graphics card too my budget is about £200. I have all my other components.

It's not obvious if willyboy104 is meaning a budget of £200 for both CPU and GPU or GPU Only?

I'm looking to uypgrade my current CPU, have an C2D E6320 @2.9GHZ and its pretty good, the C2D E8XXX chips are meant to be very good and are relatively cheap now. But i'm thinking of waiting 6 months or so until intel release thier new line of 'i7' chips.
