need a new g/card

my 8800 gtx has just died on me so I need to get a new g/card only got around 120 140 to spend so any one got any idears i am looking for as fast or faster if pos

Yes, and maybe you could add another later. Personally though, unless Dx11 is a must for you, I'd go with the 4890 to tide you over to the next big upgrade.:D

seems like a plain, To be honest it a realy pain in the arse this as my 8800 gtx was doing fine just finished cod 6 at 1920 1200 all the toys np so was planning on hanging on to it till mid next year and then jumping around the £300 mark

So its a realy messed up my plains have to grab a new card now

not to fussed about Dx11 as yet and wanted to see what nvida have to show before i splashed the cash

I will miss my 8800gtx its been a bloody great card i mean it came out in 2006 and it could still kick the arse of many a new card
 
I understand your annoyance at being forced to upgrade at this time with prices like they are, and no Femni anywhere nearby to spur some competition into the market. If your 8800GTX is out of warranty, you could try the Oven fix on it. Nothing to loose by trying it and it could get a few crucial months more out of the card.

Tryed m8 all I got for my trouble is a blister on my finger :)
