Hey everyone

Can some recommend me a better gcard than a ATI XFX 5770 1GB

For around £100 Im going sell that 5770 on ebay! I was going crossfire but after looking at some benchmark results, a single card can win.

I would recommend a HD6850. You can easily overclock most of them to over 900MHz at which point they start to perform very close to a 6870. I'm using an MSI HD6580 Cyclone power edition OC which has a nice cooler on it, I run it at 915MHz core and 1150 memory which in real terms means it only lags slightly behind a 6870. You'll get more out of it if you have a decent PSU as it only has 1 6 pin connector however.

Different cooler to the one I have, but temps really aren't an issue with the OCs, it's more to do with your power supply as you can whack the fan up to full and it'll always be fine (if loud).
