MY old one is dead. I am useing a old dell kb on a ps2 connection. This kb cost me 50p and it is crap. Im looking to get a new one. I want a kb that looks good lights up well. Has very solid keys. I'm slighty heavy handed so I need good strong keys. Any recommendations would be most appreciated.

saitek eclipse : 1 if you want it to be black with silver keys and just want blue, 2 if you want multiple colours and media controls.

I am gonna recommend the dell keyboard.

I had an older "charcoal" grey looking one for ages untill I found the newer black one for £8 inc. The keys are very soft and I think it looks smart (and not kiddie like the saitek one ;)).

Ive been looking at these

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...ated Gamers Keyboard - Multi-Colour Backlight

Which one out of these would have the besy keys to use . I want the keyboard to be solid heavy and have nice keys to use when typing

I don't understand the point of illuminated keys. If it's that dark that you can't see the keys then using a PC isn't going to do your eyes any favors.

rubbish. often its very annoying gaming with the lights on!

Logitech G15 is a good'un

razer tarrantula

i prefer mine over all the others i've owned, nicer to type with than the G15 + saitek, can press more buttons (you can get annoying ghosting with the G15), key's are nicely spaced out and nicely sized.

the razer tarantula is nice i may get one soon, and so is the g15 (if you can get a v1-probably cant find one though). but then again they are in a different league of keyboards then the saitek. the steelseries is good ive tried it, but i dont know if id recommend it to anyone over any of the other keyboards out there.

all depends on budget.

Those are some ug keyboards dude, get the Eclipse II, it's a good price and a nice soft key press. Three colours too, cool blue, red and gay lilac.

I have the Merc Stealth, and I find it to be quite good. Software is great (there is supposed to be a major issue with Vista64 SP1, though I haven't come across it), backlighting is good (three colours, four light levels), and the layout of the gaming keys is just about spot on. The keys are better than my old Dell kb, but the spacebar is incredibly loud and clacky! Also, the numpad and cursor keys share the same space now, and this can be a major pita.

Is clacky a word?
