All over the world...
Right time for me to shell out on a new laptop, i have dell inspiron 8600 that ive had for a few yrs and its served me well but is kinda getting slow and someone wants to buy it off me. Its a top spec dell one so im looking to get another top spec laptop.

Here are the things i require from it:

Intel cpu, prefer if it had a dual core and im even willing to consider any amd dual core lappys
at least 1 gb of ram
Must have wireless network card built in
Also bluetooth built in
Would like to have an inbuilt gigabit card as well
A decent gfx card as well
Would prefer a 15" inch as i find the 17" too big and bulky...well the ones i have seen.

So after having a look around, i cant seem to find anything with those specs etc. Looked at most of the major manufacturers and perhaps im missing something but cannot find anything with the specs i require. So here i am looking to the knowledge of the ocuk forum members.

So can anyone help find me a laptop with those above specs??, id be surprised if anyone could. I was considering an ibook but tbh it wouldnt be suitable for me as the programs i use and run wouldnt run on a mac sadly.

So go for it people...money really isnt an object here.

I've been out looking at lappers today (not the sort you find in private clubs unfortunately!).

Out of all the machines I looked at, the Toshiba A100-163 seemed to be one of the best for spec/price. Some of the main features are:

Intel Core Duo T2300 Processor 1.66GHz - 667 MHz FSB - 2 MB Cache
1024 MB RAM
80 GB Hard Drive
Double Layer DVD ReWriter MultiDrive
15.4" Widescreen Display
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
256 MB ATi Radeon X1400 graphics

Price - £949

Does anyone have any knowledge of Toshiba laptops, or any views on the above specifications?

I think there has to be a balance... something like that would weigh a ton, sound like a hairdryer, and the battery life would be worse than a PC with a UPS attached.
