Simple question really. I'm tired of WoW, just the sight of it makes me cringe. Are there any games that can rival the PvE content of WoW? Thanks.

Pve content? Many would say that eq2 not only rivals wow for the amount of pve content, but beats it. Could try that.

For volume yes for quality possibly not. But the volume does mean you can avoid the bad stuff. It can be rather "cryptic" what you meant to do and rather random how you meant to do it, ie sometimes right click, sometimes left and sometimes left click after spending 5 mins trying to find the right spot to click!!

But I've two maxed level chars on the F2P server and one the way to a third. So, I can't complain too much :D

LoTRO, it's free to play up to a certain point, and you get a good couple of areas to visit as well till you have to start buying quest packs etc via the LoTRO store using Turbine Points, it's definitley worth a go. I've just made 4 more characters as well for each crafting profession and i thought playing each area again would get tedious, i was seriously wrong.

And the Lore is awesome.

Seriously, if you enjoy solo play and PvE, it's best to choose a game that has interesting story and surrounding world and LOTRO is one of these games to do just that.

Yeah, the Lore is amazing.

enjoyed rift and a large chunk of my old guild are still playing on the icewatch server

and raiding regularly

as for wow making you cringe iam the same quit about 3 months ago but took up the 7 day free pass to talk to people and all i did was login talk to one person then sent posted of 20k on a whim to a friend and loged out
if i could have been bothered i think i would have passed on my 15 guild tabs of stuff and the rest of my gold but just wanted to leave asap again

I dont want to poo-poo on the already out of control obscene over the top SWToR hype machine, but its probably a bit early to be saying that SWToR "rivals the PvE content of WoW". You know...given that it isnt out yet, and nobody has had the opportunity to play the PvE content in depth under a live environment :D

Probably best to stick to recommending MMOs which are already out and the PvE content can be judged properly :)

from everything i have read swtor is a little lacking in some ways
and from talking to friends the majority who enjoy the dungion mmos are really not interested in a sci-fi option

RIFT!!!!!! RIFT IS SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!!! PVE JUST LIKE WOW AND DUNGEON FINDER TOOLS AND TONNES OF RAIDS!!!!!!

Sorry for caps but you don't get ahead in the mmo market without fans promoting the wares and this game is simply breathtaking in execution. I enjoyed crafting upto max level more than wow, raiding upto max level more than wow and the expert dungeon grinding with the dungeon finder is an amazing way to make friends and no one judges you like in wow! I've learnt so much and there is what seems to be more girls playing than guys! I've chatted to loads in random dungeons and they have taught me a lot!

I would love to go and play an MMO again, or go back and play WoW, but I only want to play it casually :( That's the main problem with MMOs, they can't really be that casual.
