need a new mobo and cpu

Well my pc has died somewhere , I'm hoping its the graphics card. But i cant get another to test it. But it has given ny reason to upgrade my aging system.

Currently on amd phenom 965be . My budget is £200 - £300 . Don't care which camp but onboard graphics is a must if things go bellyup on graphics card. I'm pc less atm , and high-end gaming isnt a priority, but a good middle ground would be nice.

What's my options?

Has onboard gfx and outputs.

Or pay more for newer skylake+Z170.

Any drives that you have that are IDE wont work as its all SATA these days.

Is your RAM DDR3?

How will that perform against a 965be ? And will it cover me for 4k?

Theres this comparison - www.anandtech.com/bench/product/102?vs=1261 - but doesnt show many tests. for 4K gaming? you need a strong gpu.

I would have thought so.

Just looking at the Skylake boards listed here only one of them supports DDR3 the rest are DDR4.

The combo says instock, 10+, maybe different inventory assigned for those bundles than separate buying.

Quick bump on this as I still haven't decided ... I noticed the link for the individual cpu lists free games ... the bundle doesn't . Are they include in the bundle ?
