Basically, my specs are below.
My computer has been built on the cheap and I'm now in the process of rebuilding it.
Tomorrow I buy a new case and mobo.

Case is obsidian 900d because I'll never need to buy a new one again after that ha

Mobo, not picked one yet, a lot of the features mean **** all to me because I've always been too lazy to learn about them. I've always gone cheap and just made sure they fit the chip I wanted. But this time I do want a quality board.

Then next month I'm getting a new GPU and PSU.
GPU will either most likely be a 970, PSU undecided yet.

TL;DR
Spec me a mobo, please give positives and negatives

I would get a new power supply before anything else. I can't say I have ever heard of Powercool psu's before.

Also the 900D is a waste of money unless you plan on watercooling everything inside. Something like the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe would be better for half the price.

I think the 900d is a huge waste. Its a lot of money on a case. Especially when you're not going full on water cooling. As said the phanteks luxe has all the compatibily (though smaller rad support) for less than half the price. If you're only going single card the bitfenix ronin is a stunning choice. At only £70 too, your laughing.

As stulid said Z97 is your best bet. Grab a Gaming 7 & 4790k bundle and a ronin. Will come in not much over £400.

You should look at getting a new PSU too, I'd look at grabbing a superflower unit. The HX550 for single card or the Leadex 750/850 for SLI.

Basically I do plan on going full water cooling and running a few decent cards in crossfire/SLI
That's why I wanted the 900D. I just wanted it in place so I could swap single pieces in and out of this small case I have now.

But I'm still being persuaded against it :(

Regardless of the waste, the case has been bought.
Ditch AMD chipset if you mean business. Go for the tried and tested 4790k on a z97 board. 8Gb of 2133MHz cl9 and a 970. Then you can add a 2nd 970 and all of the WC bits as and when :)
