Need a new modem router

All ready got a Netgear DG834N and having problems with it like it keeps dropping and needing rebooting everyday also other problems like its stopped broadcasting as well, one pc being on wireless and another hard wired to it.
Had it for 3 years now so thinking its time for a new one.

So not knowing much about them need some help choosing the best one must be a 'N' as range is crucial.

Before replacing, have you tried custom firmware such as DGTeam? Might improve stability.

You can always flash it back to an official Netgear firmware if you don't like it.

I use my DG834N set just to 'modem only' using the DGTeam firmware, then use a WRT54GL with Tomato firmware as the router.. Ten times more stable..

The DG834N has an excellent modem, and with the DG Team firmware, you can mess with SNR's etc real easy, so I wouldn't throw it away..

Hummm ok have to think about that

Just thought i was a good excuse to get a new full 'n'

and maybe a better range on a new one
