Hi guys,

Looking around for a new monitor. Been using my current monitor since 2008 ( Yes its super old) its a Samsung Syncmaster 2253BW
I've just recently just got back into gaming. Was out of the game for about 7/8 years.
Games that i've started to play are CSS, BF3, CoD Warzone and Gears 5. Any other games i should try out?

Built a new build the other day which is

Ryzen 5 3600
MSI B450 Tomahawk Max
Team Group Dark Vulcan 3600mhz ddr4
Gigabyte Radeon RX590
Samsung 250gb 860 Evo SSD
Gigabyte 480 SSD

Now what sort of monitor should i be looking at? Monitors have changed . Have no idea what to look at, or what i need? would like to future proof myself as i would not be replacing minotor anytime soon. Ideally would like a 27inch. Budget is arround £300ish

Thanks

Coming from such an old monitor you will probably get a better experience with an IPS one as VA despite having good blacks is not everyones favourite and you need to know what you are getting with viewing angles etc whereas IPS gives you great visuals straight off (without complicating things with the caveats).

With regards to future proofing doesnt really matter what monitor you buy it will be future proof as the tech moves so slowly new releases are few and far between.

Like as said its a bad time to buy everyone at home buying monitors for work etc.

Although saying that and just looked at an etailer near me and they have loads of 1080p IPS monitors in stock plus 1440p and 4k IPS too for your budget.

Im i better off with a 1080p monitor or should i just go for an 1440p?

TBH im not that concerned in terms of what panel it is. As long its a great all rounder. Not a hardcore gamer. Mostly will be used for gaming, Youtube, Netflix, Torrents and Office email etc etc..
