Hi all

Just after some advice. Going to buy a new gaming mouse and have £60... what would you go for?

I've had a look at the Kone[+] but im still undecided what to go for please post your opinions! :D

I did not think there was a non-HD version so cannot help unfortunately.

A fair few people on these forums use it and I cannot fault mine at all. Cannot really offer any more than that though. :)

Really is subjective. I really like the looks of the Xai though. Simple, small and light, looks rugged. Too expensive for me :) I had a Roccat, but had problems with software, wheel and the weight compartment. Hope they fixed it.

I think the Deathadder is absolutely tops, very hard to beat. My other curveball would be a Razer Mamba. Won't get one at £60 new, but if one comes up second hand they go for around that, depending on usage. Most tend to be very light use.

You need to justify that suggestion. OP has £60 for a mouse, the MX518 is an £18 mouse. It's like recommending a Mondeo to someone with the budget for an Aston Martin. Yes, the MX518 is great, and probably unbeaten on price performance, but it isn't the best mouse for sub £60 in my opinion.

razer deathadder

'tis a lovely mouse, seems pretty robust too :)

i recommend it above, but i have to say my (now quite old) deathadder did go wrong with double click problems. it's unlikely they're still present in the new models, but i don't think the razer build quality is as good as logitech. however, the razer performance is better, and you still get a warranty (though it's not a patch on the logitech service!). so yeah, robust isn't a word i'd use to describe them.

op should have a look here. There are quite a lot of decent gaming mouse reviews, mostly by the same person, so they're quite sound to compare to one another, whereas experiences between different people are subjective and can vary quite a lot. I think the Kone + you mention was highly received, so not a bad choice!
