Hi guys can you help me choose a new mouse mat?

My everglide has long been been worn smooth. Don`t game on PC, 24cm x 30cm is plenty big enough. Don`t like the idea of a cloth mat unless you can convince me otherwise :)

Suggestions please.

cheers

i need a new mat too but i dont want to pay a stupid amount for one.

i use an optical so i assume i need a plastic one ?

Fanatic, cheers that looks like it might be a winner. Nothing against Everglide, just not sure about fabric mats.

I imagine them curling up and sliding around the desk. Does yours do that?

hmm well with an optical mouse you done really need a mat unless your desk/surface is very dark, or if you ever upgrade to a laser mouse then they will work on any surface, bought an axpensive mat about 2 years ago used twice now stuck in a box upstairs somewhere.

How about considering an icemat they barely wear out, mines lasted me years an nearly still as smooth if not just as smooth as when I 1st bought it

Fanatic, thanks think I`ll give one a go then.

The icemat sounds interesting with it being glass, though at £30 it`s a bit out of range.

Thanks for the help everyone. :)

i have Razer Exact mat which i think is amazing, its heavily built hasnt worn at all in over 1 years use... i highly recommend the razer wrist wrest that mates with the exact mat too...

also it has green logos and writing that illuminates with the blue lighting in my PC :D

the exact mat is HUGE though, make sure you have enough desk space for it!! i had to move stuff about to fit it on my desk but i dont think i will ever use another mouse mat ever again, this exact mat will be taken to the grave with me :D

Buy a teflon cooking mat!! No more than 10 gbp

They last forever and work with optical mice.

Only downside is there is no padding, but then most mouse mats don't have any.

I have a G5 and to be honest never bothered with a mat, I have a light grey desk and don't "think" I have any issues gaming. I had always thought that was the point going from a track ball type mouse to an optical run mouse that you didn't need a mat?

I have had an optical type mouse since the 1st Microsoft Intelli explorer range. I remember having around 4 in a year since the wire in the lead was too thin and would break inside the insulation.
