Need a new mouse pad

Hi guys, many years ago I used an Icemat, which I loved. I switched to a Razer Destructor, which was less smooth, and then went on to the Ironclad. The Ironclad gets mixed feelings from me: it is the smoothest mouse mat I have ever used, it is nice and cold, and it has amazing tracking for my Razer Imperator. On the other hand, the coating wears out after 3 months. It was the best mouse mat ever created for the 3 months it lasted, but I can't buy another one, on account of it wearing out so fast.

So I am looking for a new mouse mat to replace the Ironclad. I'm looking for:

- Something made out of metal, or something that offers the same smooth glide the Ironclad does. I tried an Icemat, but the Imperator doesn't work on it.

- Something that is long lasting.

- Price isn't really an issue, anything up to €50 is fine. I got the Ironclad in the US for €38 (dollars to euros made it really cheap :D)

So does anyone have any suggestions?

Not really, not a fan of metal / plastic mats, but also not a fan of overly soft mats. I've got a Roccat Sota, which is very thin and more rigid than my everglide. It's got a cloth top and a thin 'alloy' layer underneath, with a thin rubber sheet on the underside for grip. I quite like it.
