so what's a good mouse then? i want a wired one preferably.

i have intellimouse explorer 4.0a at the moment and the left mouse button seems to be dying, it's been a good mouse EXCEPT the wheel doesn't have click points like my old one used to so it's always been a bit of a pain scrolling for weapons during games.

Logitech MX518. If your right handed its great. Plus you get an extra button more than the g5 and its cheaper.
