Wow - with that budget the skies the limit - almost. Are you sure you want to spend so much, you can get a perfectly good system for much less.

The system listed above by sketch145 looks pretty good but I'd go for the Nvidia GTX295 over the 4870X2 and that's coming from someone who currently has both a 4850 and a 4870 - they are great gpus for a budget but the GTX295 is better if money's not an issue. If you really want to splash out get a pair in SLI.

Dont think i need a big HDD i barely used 100g of the one i have now so i think 300 should be plently.

How does this look?

I would go for something like this:

With this you have got the best GPU around, one of the more reliable SSDs for a fast boot drive, more than enough RAM, & more than enough storage for your needs.

Things that you might want to look at changing:

GPU - people say the 4870X2 is just as good but for £100 less. 295 does slightly edge it in performance though.

Case: I put this in because I have one myself and found that it performs excellently for Air cooled systems. Also there is plenty enough room to work with/for future upgrades.

Forgot to add Vista so you would need to find a £100 saving from somewhere.

i'd maybe swap the psu to a bequiet or coolermaster.

what size monitor/res are you running ?

hard disk wise maybe run a couple of ssd's in raid then have another disk for storage a bit like sketch's spec.

i'd have a look in the Hard disk forum, been discussions about SSD's , single drives, 30Gb, 60Gb, triple raid etc so worth a look before you make a final decision.

as mentioned with that gaming res think a 295 would be a waste so can save a bit of money there and go with the SSD's.
