Hey guys,

My laptop is currently on its last legs, so looking to move to a full pc system, last one I built was about 3 years ago now, so a lil out of the loops, so looking for some specs from you guys.

Basically the system will be used like this: Will be used for all the normal day to day tasks, including internet and heavy downloading. I will be recording a lot of my own music on it via Cubase, so therefore my harddrives need to be quiet and fast...A lot of people I know using it for recording music use Spinpoints...but im open to opinions...Im not fussed about size recommendations, just which HDD to go for. Ill be doing a lot of photoshop work, as well as quite a bit of mulittasking...so 2gb of RAM is a must. Im not a HUGE game player...especially not FPS, so I wont need a massively cool Graphics Card...But I do want something that will enable to play games decently when I do choose to play them...again mainly not FPS. I will also need something to handle two monitors. Ill be playing a lot of movies/mp3s/videos though it, so a nice soundcard would definately go a long way. Being as it will be on 24/7 too...I need to keep it as quiet as possible. I also have two BenQ 1640s I will most likely use for the burners, unless you can convince me of something else.

So guys here is what I need:

CPU - Leaving it all upto you guys, I've only ever used AMD before...but I think and see that Intel is the only way to go ATM, so you decide for me...As for speed, I dont want bottom, or top...So something in the middle

MOBO - Again guys...all upto you...nothing too pricey...but something that will last

RAM - 2GB, but the rest is upto you

GFX - As above

Soundcard - As Above

PSU - 600w I think is needed...Like the seasonics

CPU Fan - All on you guys, lets just keep it quiet

Case Fans - Same as above

CD/DVD - possibly..if it can beat the 1640s

So guys, there you go...

Lets see what we can get ordered by the end of the weekend...

Just to add, I wont be overclocking..

And secondly, there isnt really a budget, as im willing to accomodate anything if it is worth it...

But saying that I dont want to blow the bank...so middle of the road is good enough for me
