need a new pc to run take on helicopters.

Ok its been a while since I last got a new cpu and have bought take on helicopter on the steam daily deal so have quid to spend,

Current I have a

Intel core 2 [email protected] and 6gb of ram on ICH7 board.
The graphics card is a radeon HD6800
and ive got a NEC multisync 24WMGx^3
a couple of SATA drives and an SSD

I'm guessing I need a new cpu and ram.

Help me out all, what is best in the way of a bundle? Ive spent too long bringing up the kids to know what on earth a good processor is these days TBH I lost track post the 1gig Axia Y core I bought.

tbh dude your system is ok atm, i would suggest an i5-3570K if you are going to upgrade along side the gigabtye z77 board with 8gb mem... keep the gpu for now, its a good one... shouldn't cost more than £300

I dunno, might be better to buy seperately and budget another £30 or so for a cooler if you plan on overclocking.
I didn't notice that the bundle I posted only came with 4gb btw. Just assumed it was 8gb. Whoops.
Good deal though, considering you get a game and a half decent cooler with a pre-set overclock.

If you went with something like the spec I posted, you'd be able to get a new case as well for the price of the 660i bundle
