My Sony Ericsson K510i seems to be giving up the ghost. Some buttons don't work any more, and others do the wrong thing. I currently have to remove the battery, put it back in, and switch it back on again to come out of locked keypad mode.

So I'm thinking a big upgrade might be in order. Something that's more like a palmtop computer with a phone function built in, like the iPhone. 3G access is good, and I like the idea of having a GPS receiver in there too.

So what options are there? Is the iPhone the best option, or a blackberry, etc?

I eagerly await your suggestions. :)

Got my Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition this week and I'm loving it so far. Some great features, built-in GPS which supports Geotagging automatically through the 8mp Camera. Widgets, Java Apps, I get Orange Maps for free which features full turn by turn and voice guided sat nav.

All in all it's just a nice phone to use, having the slide out keypad is great. Touch screen is responsive and nice to use.

The Tocco ultra seems like a really good phone, but it lacks wi-fi I think, which could be a big problem if you don't have unlimited internet access on your plan.
