Ok my old 550w psu has chucked it.
I need a new one but what size ?
I5 2400k. 8gb mushkin ram. 380x xfx graphics card. 240gb Kingston sdd. DVD writer.
Coolmaster say I only need a 383watt. It seems low.

Amy recommendations?

Thanks all

Even good quality 450W PSU is indeed enough for those parts.
While card is around 200W max consumption that CPU isn't power hungry.
But there isn't that much of competition in modern PSUs below 550W.

Seasonic Focus Plus is currently about as good as it gets without paying luxury price.
Platinum is currently discounted with same price as 80+ Gold model:

Except the most power hungriest graphics cards (or extreme CPU overclocking) 550W is enough for any single graphics card PC.

Yeah, I'd recommend this OP. Incredibly well reviewed, 10 year warranty and enough extra wattage to allow for a GTX 1080/Vega 56 in the future.
