hey guys so my cheap crappy PSU decided to go pop (my fault for buying a cheapo one lol) si im looking to get a new one

i was running a 900w PSU wich im pretty sure is overkill for my system anyways but i have bought a new GPU so im not really sure how much wattage i need

current spec:
core i7 3770k overclocked to 4.5ghz with a corsair H80i cooler in push pull
16gb of corsair 1866mhz ram
asus sabertooth z77 mobo
120gb SSD along with two 2tb mechanical drives
blu ray drive (read/write)
EVGA superclocked GTX 780
and about 6 case fans (120/140mm)

so i have my eye on a corsair AX series 760w (obviously im open to other suggestions or i wouldnt post the thread but i do want a corsair PSU) so with the new GPU im not sure if 760w will get the job done... any advice would be appreciated

thanks guys :)

thats exactly why i chose to go with the AX series from corsair because they are 80+ platinum rated

thanks for XFX suggestion but like i said i do want a corsair PSU im not gonna budge on that lol

i was thinking about maybe getting an SLI setup in the future dont really think i would need it with a 780 though

corsair do a 650w PSU in the HX series wich is obviously cheaper so ill look into that, if i get the AX 760 ill be getting non i version anyway did a little research and the non i versions use seasonic components where as the i versions dont so you know

to be honest everything in my PC that can be corsair is corsair i have used a lot of other stuff from a lot of other brands and maybe ive just been unlucky but ive had nothing but problems where as everything ive had from corsair has been rock solid

What about a TX750m if it needs to be Corsair. Will run your setup with ease and will have no issues if you decide to go SLI. It's also cheaper.

i have actualy been looking at that PSU it bugs me that its not modular cuz im a freak for keeping cables as tidy as possible, but of course ill keep it open as an option and i do apologise for being so stubborn with the corsair thing but like i said before i have lots of problems with other brands never had a problem with corsair stuff

good to know that same dudes make the XFX PSU's though so ill deffinatly keep that open as an option

you guys should also know when it comes to building/upgrading a PC i have some OCD issues example
everything inside and outside the PC that can be corsair is corsair
ill only have asus mobo's
ill have western digital hard drives
ill only have benq monitors
ill only have EVGA graphics cards... so yeah im kinda weird lol

670 Sli on my system uses less than 500 watts with everything overclocked. 650W is plenty.

Edit - Stupid eyes you mean 780 sli. I would go for a 750w for that. The TX750M chucks out 62A on the 12v rail which will power a pair of 780's and all your other hardware with ease.

It's not fully modular but the attached cables will all be in use so it's actually neater than full modular as less plugs hanging out.

cool :) i shall deffinatly look into the the TX750M :)
