Need a new PSU

I bought a Corsair CMPSU-550VX two builds back at the end of 2009. It has died and taken out my GPU (MSI HD6930 1gb) with it. I'm figuring that corsair won't do anything for me since it crapped out in China just before I moved to the UK (London) and warranties suck in China. I have moved from being a guy with a disposable income to being a poor student again and as such can't afford a £100 PSU but I really want to go modular. I know that boxing day says are coming up. I want to do my research before people start snapping them up.

My system is:
5-2500k @ 4.4 stock voltage w/ CM Hyper 212+
Gigabyte GA-Z68-UD3H-B3
Corsair Vengeance 2X4GB DDR3-1600
Samsung 830 256GB + 4tb storage

I'm hoping to add a single 7870 when I find a good deal on one used.

I plan on buying online while I'm back home so I can't do any in store deals.

So I'm thinking something in the 550-650 range, modular and quiet. Also I'm hoping for a decent warranty but the doesn't seem to be easy to get in the UK

I wouldn't mind giving Seasonic a try, I'm not familiar with some of the brands here or boxing day / Christmas sales

Any advice would be appreciated.

Look a little further ;)

But even then neither are modular. :p

A 550/650W Modular equivalent of those two would be a fair bit more though.

What case do you have? In most well designed modern cases there isn't much benefit to having a modular PSU vs. a non modular.

I'd get the 650W SuperFlower every time at that price. A top class PSU at a ridiculous price.

Don't be put off by the brand name, SuperFlower make some of the best PSU internals out there. They are way up there with Seasonic and Enermax etc. :)
