need a new router help

Hello.

Need a new wireless router.

I got one with virgin media and it was poor signal so i bought another one. Its a d link with three antennas on it and that's poor signal.

I live in a terrace house so its not big. When im on my phone soon as i walk out the back door the signal dross two bars. If im in the middle of a normal sized yard i get on signal.

My computer is in the room above the router and is a poor signal.

Can anyone recommend me a good one that will not break the bank.

If you move your router next to your computer do you get a good signal ?

(doesnt need to be connected to the internet for the test)

Sounds like you have possibly another wifi connection nearby interferring with yours.

The router is down stairs and computer is upstairs.

There are a few in the area. Should i try changing channel.

Or is there some thing else i can do
