I'm looking for a new RPG for my 360, so I have something meaty to play once I'Ve finished PGR4.

I've already finished Blue Dragon, Enchanted Arms and Oblivion. Two-Worlds is meant to be poo and Eternal Sonata is meant to be very very linear. Are there any others out at the moment to keep me occupied ?

Would love to play mass effect but it comes out 6 days before I go travelling so I won't get to play :(

How is two worlds to play? Any character customisation ? Good side quests ?

If you liked Enchanted Arms and Blue Dragon from the sounds of it you'd love Eternal Sonata. There will be a few on here to back this up and I'm going to play it very soon. Enchanted Arms is pretty linear so if you enjoyed that Eternal Sonata sounds up your street.

I've played and finished Enchanted Arms, Blue Dragon, Oblivion and Phantasy Star Universe and I'm really enjoying Two Worlds. Ok it has it's flaws but if you're a rpg junkie it's no where near as bad as people are making out. Plus the 1.6 patch has finished beta testing and will be released for PC/360 within a week and this is supposed to fix all the outstanding gripes and improve framerates.

There is Phantasy Star Universe which isn't the best game I've ever played but has it's moments. I can't recommend it but if you do see it for £10 it's maybe worth a stab. I did finish it, which if I'm honest probably says more about me than it.

Sounds like 2 worlds is a good bet then. Off to game I go!

EDIT: Just re-read the IGN review and it makes it sound really really bad. Are most of these problems gone now ?

Marvel Ultimate Alliance :P

Okay, not a traditional RPG as such, but is such a laugh :P

Other than that personally Im waiting for Lost Odyssey and Mass Effect :)

What he said :D

Phantasy Star Universe isn't bad for £10 imo although I would always take Eternal Sonata over it.

there arnt that many problems anymore, its actually a pretty good game, its not as good as oblivion or anytihng, but still good.

the two worlds problems havent gone, but if your persist a little you'll get used to them and enjoy the game, im still playing even with its bugs and hardly notice them, a patch is due but when no one knows.

give it a rent if your not sure, but spend a couple hours playing as it takes a while to get into, and used to the map.

Gonna get me enchanted arms on the PS3. Import for £15 which is worth a punt :)

Also anyone know if blue dragon is coming out for the PS3 at all? Just been round a mate's to watch it and im pretty impressed, bar the gash boss music :D

Enchanted Arms is supposed to be the worst 360 to PS3 port yet though my opinion is how bad can it really be?

Blue Dragon was published by MS so no.

you could try a ps2 rpg (upscaled). I'm undecided whether to order the ps3 version of Oblivion GOTY(NOW instock yay) or get 2 worlds for PC. I had oblivion for pc and it was good except for the graphics pop-up and the scaled levelling i didnt like that much.

Is there graphics pop-up in the ps3 version?

If you want a decent RPG then get yourself a PS2 as there are masses of them. Or get a PS3 and wait for loads of decent one's to appear next year. At the end of the day the Playstation has always been the king of RPG's and the PS3 will be no different.:)

You won't get any on the 360 i'm afraid as there are not enough japanese developers!

Just got rid of my PS2 so no chance of using that. I'm still debating between Eternal Sonata and Two Worlds.

ES looks like a good game but I can't tell if its to 'kiddy' for me. TBH I think I'm after an old school RPG like oblivion, where I can pick my class and chose what I want to do.

Persona 4
Star Ocean 4 ( Def PS3 maybe 360?)
Steambot Chronicles 2
Free Realms (Free Sony MMO RPG)
The Agency ( MMO Shooter/RPG by Sony)
And the NCsoft (guildwars) exclusive PS3 MMO's
Not bad TBH, prob loads of JRPGs ive forgotten lol
And im sure a new Kingdom Hearts when they have finished the others lol

Cheers. Didn't realise Eternal Sonata was confirmed though nice that the PS3 is getting it. It's also good to see the PS3 is getting a few more.

Yes but how long has the 360 been around, apart from Oblivion the rest are pretty lame. I mostly like Japanese style RPG's and the only two on the 360 are Blue Dragon and Enchanted Arms which both got poor reviews.Eternal Sonata may be good but looks like it has no depth and very linear.

I really want to get a 360 but traditional style RPG's are lacking. I know that Microsoft are trying to temp the Japanese market making RPG's but have failed so far. Most of the other 360 games I have on the PC.

The Playstation has a great pedigree in really good RPG's and will contiune to do so, that's why I will be buying one next year sometime.
