Need a new saddle

Just back from a 36 mile ride and it was excruciatingly painful , after 5 miles my right testicle went numb and when i came to a hill that needed me out of the saddle i nearly fell off as both legs felt as weak as kitten legs.
Had a bike fit years ago and know i need a 143mm saddle and had no problems with long rides on my MTB and Cyclocross with the Madison Flux and Prime .
Bought another Prime as it felt great on the Cyclocross bike but its torture.
So any recommendations for a sub £50 saddle or am i going to have to spend more.
Have a more upright posture on my Spec Secteur.

Have you checked your current saddle angle & position? The fact your nuts have gone numb probably points to it being angled too far upwards. Rocking and not moving around enough or getting out of the saddle semi-frequently can make an otherwise comfortable saddle, tortuous.

Presumably you're not riding the bike you do normally? Charge Spoon has a good consensus as a decent value saddle (for a roadie), I have no experience of it myself, but even still saddles are subjective.

Riding style (as well as position/geometry) will affect the saddle you need.

Thought the spoon was MTB only , as its virtually identical to my Madison flux will shove that on and give it a try.
Pretty sure i have the saddle position set accurately and always have my saddle perfectly horizontal.

Spoon and flux are the same shape, but with different stitching and the flux has a bit more padding and Kevlar on the wings I believe.

I have two fluxes and a spoon across my two road bikes and my cx bike. I forgot which is on where.

the entry level Selle SMP TRK usually around 35 quid. I think most stockist will have some loaners available.

if you start feeling the pain only after 5 miles, then it sounds like something not quite right with the angle/setback on the saddle. As suggested above, try lowering the angle so saddle nose is slightly dipped downward. also try set the saddle back a little bit.

My colnago comes with a Selle Italia Q-bik (about 10 quid if bought separately). It's surprisingly comfortable. I'm some what above healthy BMI, but i didnt have much problem with it on my first day (it's my first road bike) even after 12 miles.

Bike24 is doing a sale on Morgaw Trian Saddle. I bought one just below 50 Euros. the carbon rails is 13Euros which bring the whole package down to 202 grams (claimed). This saddle may not have the best material (man-made leather is not very breathable) but for the weight and price it's pretty good. It gives upto 10mm shift/suspension when you hit a big bump.

theres a review here:

My MTB has a Syncros XR1.0. that got paper thin padding but i got used to it after a while (after countless adjustment, lol).

i think generally, try to find a saddle with middle channel (full cut out or shallow groove). That should help relieving the pressure.

Figured out what the problem was i think , the Madison Prime is only 130mm wide and the new one i bought has stitching on the top that sticks up a couple of mils so i presume my sit bones where hanging off the sides and the stitching was digging into a nerve somewhere.
Odd that the old one was fine on my cyclo bike , maybe since on that one i'm off the seat every couple of minutes it didnt show.
Bought a Fabric Scoop Shallow Race and although i'm still sore from last week had no problems with a short ride.
Got my first bit of titanium as well with the Scoops rails so thats got to make me faster.

If you have a look at this photo from evans you will see the stitching also they say its 125mm wide.

That Morgaw looks neat , might look into that for my BMC TE03 xc bike as the ride can be a bit rough with the wierd rear end.
