Need a new second screen

My aging Dell U2412M appears to be on the way out. On occasion when I turn it on, around the middle of the screen, left side (it's in portrait mode) I am seeing what looks like a shadow cast across the screen. If I turn it on/off a few times it goes away but it would appear the backlight is on the way out?

I have a AW3423DW as my primary with the U2412M as my secondary in portrait mode. I primarily use it to display my personal desktop whilst I am at work and for playing twitch/youtube/netflix on in my own time. As well as browsing the web, nothing too fancy. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a reasonably priced second screen? I am looking for something ideally <£300. I have been looking at a few Dell screens, SE2723DS, S2721DS and U2520D but it appears these are Freesync and not compatible so I may have issues with my Nvidia graphics card?

I am not sure why I am a little hung up on a 2560*1440p screen considering my use case, I think a 1080p would be just fine.

There are few problems running Freesync with NVIDIA. I have dual monitors and one is a Freesync, the other is a GSync. Going GSync you are largely wasting a lot of money, especially if you don't game with it.
For me, the most glaring issue with two monitors is when they are wildly different quality of colours. Gaming monitors in particular can have an overall cast that is difficult to live with, especially when you have something like that Dell qd-oled sat right next to it! I think you would be best going for one recommended for art work.
